Mokhtar Amalou ( مختارامالو ) (born 14 August 1971, Algiers) is an Algerian FIFA football referee. He is married, has two children, and works as head of communication in Algiers. Amalou started refereeing in Algiers within the Ligue de Football de la Wilaya d'Alger in 1992. He has been a FIFA listed international referee since 2007. Amalou was selected as a referee for the 2011 African U17 Championship qualifiers, 2010 CAF Confederation Cup and 2010 CAF Champions League. He was selected to referee the 2011 LG Cup Final in Marrakech. He was also selected for 2012 CAF Championship qualifiers.
